I have the disc for cats 3 not 3 feet away from my face at this moment. I probably still have the discs, but I can’t run them anymore because OSX is a butt. I spent forever playing Cats.  The Scardy Cat was my favorite, next to the Russian Blue. I played this game to death. I think my obsession with it finally convinced my mom to let me get a cat. Oh hell yes. I got really into the hack that let you download and adopt mutant pets, like foxes and chickens and tribbles. I tried to code some of my own and ended up with this fascinating lump of cojoined spheres that would whiz wildly around the little virtual room and knock everything around. Then my dad’s computer would crash. That was kind of the end of my hacking adventures.

MIT Builds A Needle-Free Drug Injector

The needle and syringe are icons of modern medicine.

But a device developed at MIT to squirt medicines quickly and pretty much painlessly through the skin suggests that the future of medicine could be needle-free.

The idea is to shoot an extremely thin, extremely fast jet of medicine straight through skin and into muscle. “It’s sort of like a laser beam,” project leader and mechanical engineering professor Ian Hunter tells Shots.
